September - Early November: Football (black & white stripes, black shorts & socks)

Mid November - February: Rugby Football (all black)

February - March: Hockey (harlequin shirt, black shorts, blue socks)

April - July: Cricket (cream/brown trimmed jersey, whites, brown baggy colors caps).

Wednesday afternoon is match day for boys in Years 5-8 and Thursday for boys in Years 3 and 4. 

The fixture list includes matches against other prep schools with strong sporting reputations including the following: Aldro, Barrow Hills, Cranleigh, Edgeborough, Feltonfleet, Highfield & Lanesborough.

Match day is big part of life at Amesbury as it helps the boys interact with pupils from other schools and helps them bond with their own peers.  The boys represent the school with pride and play with a steely competitiveness and with sportsmanship.
