Building the Eco Gardens at Amesbury
Building the Eco Gardens at Amesbury
On the Tuesday of half term, a very small but enthusiastic team of volunteers braved the cold and driving rain to join the maintenance team in shovelling and barrowing 10 tonnes of top soil into the newly constructed flower beds. The delivery lorry was unable to park near the sand playground because the ground was saturated so all 10 tonnes had to be moved by hand-barrow. It was hard work and the more it rained, the heavier the soil became but there was a great sense of satisfaction (and a lot of aching muscles) when we had finished!
Thanks to all who helped out.
