CHANGES ART EXHIBITION

Children in Year 7 have been using a range of experimental mark making and construction techniques to create embellished paper kimonos for an exhibition in the PAC.  Entitled 'Changes', the exhibition includes kimonos, handmade books and design work in addition to short films that the children have directed, produced and edited.

The exhibition is a celebration of the children's effort and provides visitors to the school with a glimpse of the children’s work this term. Miss Susannah Colborn, Head of Visual Art at Amesbury says “I have been really pleased with the enthusiasm and ambition the children have shown in responding to the opportunity to exhibit their work and also their ability to work creatively across different disciplines. There has been a real buzz about the project from its inception.”

The renowned sculptor, Jon Edgar was present to open the exhibition at 6.30pm. There was also be a presentation of a forthcoming inaugural Arts Festival involving a number of diverse and exciting workshops as well as performances from an eclectic mix of musicians.
