Christmas Fun at Amesbury
On Friday 4th December the whole school was treated to an afternoon of Christmas fun. All the children came to school in mufti (raising over £230 for the school's charities) and were given the afternoon off lessons.
With presents to choose for parents and siblings, and a cup filled with treats for themselves - not to mention netball and football games in the Sports Hall - and a choice of DVDs to watch in tutor rooms, the children were happily occupied all afternoon. Not only happily, but also gainfully, as they also made over 250 thumb print candles for Amnesty International.
Father Christmas visited the beautiful winter wonderland in the Pavilion, with a small gift for each child - and the lucky Pre-Nursery and Nursery children had the rare and special treat of meeting Mrs Christmas.
All this was made possible by the generosity of the whole school community with parents donating wonderful gifts, FOA reps wrapping fingers to the bone with and the Common Room joined in with lashings of Christmas cheer!
