Young Tennis Star Keeps Getting Better And Better

Jodie Burrage has been playing tennis since she was five and now at ten is in the national squad of the best eight players in the country for her age. Every term she participates in national camps taken by national coaches such as Judy Murray and Nick Brown.

Jodie won many LTA tournaments over the summer holidays and went to France to compete and won a tournament, she was also invited by the LTA to take part in an exhibition match on the new number four court at Wimbledon on the middle Saturday of The Championships.  

 Graham Holmes has coached Jodie for over 3 years and is very proud of how hard she has worked and still works on her game “Jodie is a credit to herself, her attitude, drive and focus is always so good on and off court”

Graham, the Director of Pro-Line Tennis, a tennis company that has set up successful tennis programmes in Schools for the last 14 years says “ Jodie has the advantage of being able to fit her training in and around her School day, at Amesbury School she has the facilities, players, professional coaching team and support to help her reach her full potential ”

 Nick Brown, who in 1991 played at Wimbledon creating the biggest upset when beating Goran Ivanišević and also former coach to Tim Henman and the British Fed cup team works once a month with Jodie and Graham at Amesbury to monitor progression and pass on some of his vast amounts of experience and knowledge.

Nick supports Pro-Line Tennis and trying to get more professional tennis coaching programmes set up in Schools.

The future of British tennis is starting to look brighter and a few more players up with Andy Murray might not be so far away!
