New Performing Arts Centre at Amesbury
The curtain has gone up on a new £350,000 performing arts centre at Amesbury School in Hindhead.
The development provides pupils and staff with a music school which feature five practice rooms, a recording studio and music technology laboratory. It also includes a performance studio used by pupils throughout the school for drama and dance.
The centre is located at the heart of the school and the headmaster, Nigel Taylor, said that "a single building brings together music, dance and drama under one roof. It gives a clear statement to the pupils about the importance that we attach to the creative process within education, " said Mr Taylor.
The centre will be officially opening next June during the school's performing arts festival.
