School Charities Fund Raising
During whole school assembly on Monday 8th March Maggie Hamilton was pleased to be able to tell the children that £450 had been raised during Amesbury's Haitii appeal and a cheque was now on its way to the charity. They will now be able to buy 9 latrines for the stricken people of Haitii which will improve their hygiene and make life a bit more bearable for people who still remain homeless and are having to live under canvas. This is proof again that every drop makes an ocean as much of the money raised came from the pupils' own pocket money or hard earned wages from doing chores around the house!
Also, from the sale of the childrens' own second hand books, which were exchanged for the grand sum of 50p during World Book Day Big Book Sale, £76 was raised. This amount will be divided amongst our school charities, Kings World Trust, CRY and CHASE.
