U13 IAPS Regionals at Roedean School, Brighton

The Amesbury U13 netball squad travelled down to Brighton on Friday 5th March to compete in the U13 IAPS Regional Competition at Roedean School, Brighton against 26 other schools from around the South of England.  The team members were Jasmine Whitby, Lucy Lines, Phoebe Landers, Kate Milliken-Smith, Bobbie Seavill, Freya Mileham, Isabel Duncan, Matilda Martin and Georgia Browne.  Their netball skills proved too much for their competitors including Ashdown and Danes Hill Schools where they won all 8 of their qualifiers leaving them in first place.  In the afternoon they then had to play for their place in the seedings where they won one and lost one, placing them second overall.  This was a phenomenal achievement, especially as some prep schools have up to 60 girls in one year whereas Amesbury has only 13!

They now have to face the IAPS Finals this Saturday where we wish them every bit of luck and hope they can impress once again.
