World War 2 Day

As part of our topic on ‘World War 2’ Year 2 experienced one day as evacuees. They came dressed appropriately, carrying their small suitcases, gas masks and with a label to state their name and school.

The climax of the day was a visit by the Rainbow Theatre who enabled the children to empathise with evacuees of 70 years ago through a range of workshops and acting experiences.

At the end the Theatre Company were rewarded by a request to have the show all over again! This has been a fabulous start to our term and topic.
