Year 3 Trip to PGL, Marchant's Hill

An adventurous day was had by all.  From giant swings to problem solving the children in Year 3 managed to return home mud free as the weather held out for the day.  The children worked together in small groups to provide support for each other and to develop their confidence in order to tackle challenging activities with a sense of belonging.  A popular favourite amongst the boys was the quad biking, but some of the girls certainly gave them a run for their money on the track!  Apart from a few minor crashes and someone (who shall remain nameless) nearly running over the hapless instructor, a fun session was had by all.  The abseiling task proved to be challenging for a lot of the children, but some of them took to it, like a duck to water.  Miss Evans looked as though she was a very experienced climber and she rose to the challenge by participating in the abseiling and the giant swing.  Zach, our host, took us for a walk in the woods and we sang some catchy tunes.  He told us legends about the Devil’s Punchbowl.  He also showed us where David Beckham’s house was in the distance, which enthused the football fans amongst us.

The following comments tell us what the children thought of their day:
