Year 6 Trip to Alice Holt Forest to see A Midsummer Night's Dream

On Saturday Year 6 arrived at Alice Holt armed with picnics and in disguise as woodland elves, creatures and fairies. The evening started by picnicking in the evening sun and taking in the forest surroundings. At 6:30pm the performance began. Actors from the Chapterhouse Theatre Company gave a stunning performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Shakespeare, involving the audience as Puck darted in and out of the children! Miles McQuillin was given a prize for his ass’ costume and mask and Jonathan Ferguson was awarded a prize for his very impressive large fairy wings! An enjoyable summer’s evening was had by all involved and we arrived back at school after being brilliantly entertained.
