Years 1-4 Evening of Celebration

On a beautiful summer’s evening the pupils of Year 1 to 4 along with their parents and the teaching staff came together to celebrate their many and varied achievements from the year.

The evening was divided into two sections.  During the first part of the evening the Parents had the opportunity to enjoy an exhibition of the children’s work from the year as well as having a go at some of the activities that the children had participated in during the year.  The competition amongst some of the dads as to who could build the best oil rig out of Lego was fierce!

Then it was into the Marquee for second half of the evening; a performance, compered by the Year3s and 4s, by all the children of songs, poetry and stories.  The Year 1 musical performance of the punctuation in Matilda Kay’s story brought the house down, particularly as Lucas was playing a vuvuzela which was almost as tall as he was!

The evening was concluded with the announcement of the Year 2 Rose scholars; Helena Tourville, Leo Wilkinson, Amelia Decker and William Brown were invited up on to the stage to be congratulated by Mr Taylor.

Congratulations to all the children in Year 1 to 4 for a very memorable evening.
