Support for Charities

What do the photographs above have in common?

Each photograph captures one way in which we build a spirit of charitable giving; financially, giving our time, our skills and effort. We have raised £35,000 in the last three years alone.

Together parents, teachers and pupils have run marathons, taken sabbaticals to India, made CDs and written postcards.

In the last year alone, staff and parents combined forces to run the London Marathon dressed as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, raising thousands for CRY.   Also, and on an even bigger scale, one member of the common room, in support of the Kings World Trust, spent a term in India working with disadvantaged children.

At last year's annual charity day one entrepreneur from Year 5 bought cakes from Year 3 for 15p a slice and sold them to Year 8 for 30p a slice.

We support three particular charities. They are DREAMS COME TRUE, THE KING'S WORLD TRUST & CRY.

We have supported these charities for four years because we want pupils to develop the habit of committing to something for the long term. Those charities need our support today as much as they did in 2005.
