School Uniform

Easy to wear

From my very first visit here, I recognised that there is something special about this school, with its illustrious history and wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere – a school that genuinely combines the importance of traditional values with a modern, dynamic and forward thinking approach to education.

We firmly believe that children who are happy and inspired, will succeed.  The exceptional pastoral care and nurturing environment at Amesbury helps to foster the individual strengths of every child and we are proud of our pioneer status in mental health and wellbeing.

Academic success is a priority, and our pupils benefit from small classes taught in our superb facilities by dedicated, talented and passionate teachers. We are proud of the excellent results that our pupils achieve in their entrance exams to a wide range of the area’s top independent senior schools.

However, at Amesbury, education is so much more than just what is learned in the classroom. Our aim is to lay strong foundations, and teach our pupils vital life skills that will help them to succeed throughout their life.

All the children are encouraged to engage in a wide array of activities, with the performing and visual arts a huge strength of the school, and they each get the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports, helping them to learn the importance of teamwork, resilience, and how to win and lose graciously. Pupils are encouraged to try new experiences and take a few risks, which helps them to build their self-confidence, ignite passions and make lifelong friends.

We instill strong values in every child, and encourage them to be well-mannered, considerate and kind. By the time our pupils move on to their senior school they are confident, motivated young adults, well prepared to thrive and deal with the excitements and challenges that lie ahead.
