A NEW GENERATION OF AMESBURY TENNIS STARS
Two of Amesbury’s new crop of talented young tennis players, were recently selected to
attend an elite Training Camp, at The National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.
Bo and Hayden trained alongside British No.2 Heather Watson, and benefitted from the
guidance of National coaches, who gave the pair invaluable guidance on how to develop
Bo and Hayden are already very committed to playing tennis in tandem with school life at
Amesbury, and travelling around the country for competitions at weekends and during
holidays, throughout the year. However Amesbury Head Tennis Professional Andy Warry told
comments ‘It was a great achievement for both of them to be selected. It was a pat on the
back, but also a challenge to them to practise even more if they want to achieve National
Status, as previous Amesburians such as Jodie Burrage (who is now currently ranked 540 in
the world) and Daniel Cochrane (who played for Great Britain and is now based in New York
coaching at the John McEnroe Academy’.
