School News

What an exciting week last week was. Starting with the launch of Book Week on Monday and culminating in Safer Internet Day on Friday!

Monday kicked off with an inspiring assembly from Mrs Bayne and Mrs Kean. They shared information about the exciting activities taking place throughout the week. We also heard from Bookworm Club who shared their ideas for top reads in some fun clips.

Tuesday’s dress up day was a roaring success. I enjoyed flying about Amesbury dressed as Tinkerbell whilst Mr Armitage made a mighty fine Harry Potter. We couldn’t find Mrs Bowers anywhere because she was dressed as Where’s Wally! As always our young Amesburians truly embraced the creativity of the day. You’ll be able to see all the fun that was had in next week’s newsletter.

The children have had a wonderful end to the week with a fully packed programme of workshops, talks and activities all linked with Safer Internet Day. There was a great buzz of excitement around school and all the children had a wonderful time at the school disco.

A huge thank you to all of the Common Room who work collectively as the most positive force to ensure our young Ameburians enjoy every moment of school life.

Best wishes,

Miss Wright
