'A forward thinking yet in many ways traditional prep school that manages to combine a purposeful approach with a relaxed atmosphere' The Good Schools Guide 2013

Amesbury is the only co-educational prep school in the Hindhead/Haslemere area educating children aged 2 - 13.  Its foundations date back to 1870, making it the oldest preparatory school in the Hindhead, Haslemere and Farnham area.

The elegant main school building is a Grade 2* Listed building of National Significance, designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.  It stands in a 34 acre estate on the borders of Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.

We offer a unique and distinctive ethos: academically rigorous but relaxed and good humoured; competitive yet civilised; self confident but lacking arrogance.  We aim for an Amesburian to be an individual within a system, rather than a clone because of it.  Pupils go on to a range of senior schools both day and boarding.  We are a family school and encourage siblings to study together.  Places are offered by date of registration, it is not a competitive entry.  There are no commitments at the weekends, Prep is completed at school and the Pre-Nursery operates all year round.

Open Mornings on 16 May 2013 and 10 October.  Early Years Stay & Play on 5 June 2013.

If you would like a prospectus or would like to arrange an individual visit to the school please call Liz Wright, Admissions Secretary, on 01428 604322 or by email at l.wright@amesburyschool.co.uk
