On the evening of our Big Draw Event we were delighted to welcome artist Charlie Betts to Amesbury to run a drawing workshop for staff and parents. After all, why should the children have all the fun!
Charlie led a fascinating class exploring dance through the medium of drawing. By observing a dancer in action we were guided through a series of tasks to capture an essence and spirit of movement, gesture and the beauty of dance. A variety of experimental drawing techniques were introduced and a range of mediums allowed us to create exciting, contemporary drawings, working the line between the figure and abstraction.
An inspiring evening had by all.
