Huge congratulations to Old Amesburian Jodie Burrage who is the ITF Womans World Tennis Tour W25 Dubai Champion! This is Jodie’s 4th ITF title and has been followed by the wonderful news she has now been selected for the full GB Women’s team- Billie Jean Cup Team (Previously Federation Cup) – we are very proud of her achievements. As a community, we watch her progress very closely, particularly Head of Amesbury Tennis Academy (ATA) Andy Warry. Andy reminisces “I can clearly remember Jodie playing in the U8 team in 2007, and how from a young age she showed huge potential. It really was evident from an early age that Jodie has a special focus and a strong athletic ability for the game. We are delighted with her results this month.”
An Old Amesburian himself, Andy nurtures, guides and inspires all of Amesbury’s budding young tennis stars and has a strong team of tennis coaches available for all Amesbury’s pupils through ATA
