Drew:30-30

On Tuesday after school, the Amesbury Year 7 and 8 Tchouk Ball team played their 2nd Tchouk Ball match of the term. The Tchouk Ball team have worked so hard in the Monday morning sessions (all are welcome in Year 7 and 8 at 7.45am to 8.15am).

Due to winning by a large margin in the previous match, Fareham brought some U15 players to play up one end to play against our more experienced players. There was excitement in the hall from the start, both teams lined up and shook hands to wish the opposition luck at the start.

In the 1st third Fareham took the lead and the score was 10 – 8. In the Second third Amesbury took the lead 10-8 and in the final 3rd it was incredibly close and the score was 12 – 12, this took the final score to 30-30, it was such an exciting finish.

Cameron and Jake played brilliantly in their first match and caught some crucial balls on front line defence. Ollie, Tom and Lucas were in the U15 end and were not afraid to get ‘Stuck in’, the ball was shot hard by the opposition and by them and also some very clever shots which were fantastic! Georgie played the last third as centre pivot, she controlled the games brilliantly and made some good decisions where to send the ball under pressure. Super shooting from Max and Toby, quick shooting and varied angles. Ollie B defended with grit and determination with some superb catches.

Thank you to Rory who came to watch and took photos as he was unable to play due to an injury. Personally, I was buzzing from their performance, the team were brilliant – their teamwork, high levels of effort and to see how much they had improved was fantastic – well done!
