Wednesday, 21st June
U10B girls rounders vs Highfield
Won 7 1/2 – 6
Batter of the match- Camila
Fielder of the match- Milly
Player of the match- Flora
It was an extremely hot day of rounders but the girls were prepared and they were ready for the challenge. After winning the toss, the U10B’s made a tactical choice and decided to field first. Alice made strong and accurate passes from back stop to her teammates, making it difficult for the Highfield to score. Milly bowled consistently and showed quick hands in the bowling box. Anna and Clara were both speedy on their posts and managed to get the other team out. Ruby and Isabella worked really well together, they both knew just where and when to pass the ball. Lucy was great at backing up second post and she communicated with the team very well. We saw some great hits and excellent running from Camila and Mia – both scoring rounders for the team. Flora had an all round good game. She was focused and quick on first post – stumping two Highfield girls out. She also managed to hit every ball bowled to her with strength. In general the girls showed some good fighting spirit and managed to survive the heat. Well done to the U10B’s on their well deserved win!
