U10A Rounders v Feltonfleet
Batter of the Match: Katie
Fielder of the Match: Charlotte

Won: 14 – 18 ½

It was a wonderful sunny afternoon on Wednesday and a perfect afternoon to play a match of rounders. Lissie captained the side and won the toss at the start of the match. This meant that Feltonfleet batted first and gave the U10A team an advantage to see what their total was going to be. Feltonfleet scored 7 ½ rounders in their 1st innings, there were some great long barriers and quick decisions on the field, especially from Jazzy and Emily P. In the U10As first batting innings the team took many calculated risks which paid off. Lissie scored 2 rounders, rounders also from , Laura, Lyla, Alice and Emily A. Half rounders from Charlotte and Emily P. This made their total number of rounders – 9! Taking the lead into the 2nd innings, the U10A team were ready and focused to field, there was a great team work and encouragement between the girls. Laura and Katie stumped out many at 1st post from backstop, a great catch from Lyla at 3rd post too. Feltonfleet scored 6 ½ rounders in the 2nd innings giving them a total of 14 rounders. Amesbury had to score 5 to draw and 5 1/2 win. More full rounders from Lisse, Emily P, Katie and Lucy. A great half rounder from Alice. It was fantastic performance, super team work – well done!
