This week Amesbury’s match was against Cranleigh and what a fantastic match it was from the very beginning! Amesbury began the first innings fielding and did a fantastic job, everyone communicating well and working as a team. A big well done to Charlie who consistently made fantastic decisions when throwing the ball, all while under pressure. As a result of her quick thinking Amesbury was able to keep Cranleigh to 9.5 rounders for the first innings. Going into bat in the second innings for the final time the girls knew they had a big task ahead of them; they were trailing by 11 rounders. Amesbury stepped up to the challenge and managed to score exactly 11 rounders, resulting in a draw! A super effort by Imogen saw her score 4 rounders from 4 balls and as well as this it was awesome to see every Amesbury girl score throughout the match. A fantastic game girls, well done!
