U11A Cricket v Edgeborough: 26 April

This was a first for most of the boys…….playing cricket in the snow! Edgeborough won the toss and elected to bat. Their innings started positively, with both opening batsman regularly finding the boundary. However, when Charlie (4 overs, 1 wicket, 1 maiden, 9 runs) and Zac (4 overs, 2 wickets, 20 runs) came on to bowl the momentum shifted in Amesbury’s favour. Elliott also bowled well. (2 overs, 1 wicket, 4 runs).
In the end Edgeborough reached a good total of 138 for 4. The Amesbury innings began with the fall of an early wicket. However, Lucas (14 not out) and Jamie(9 not out) steadied the ship and just as the innings was gaining real momentum the snow came!
Match abandoned!
