U11A V Feltonfleet
Won 11-8
Batter of the match: Naomi
Fielder of the match: Libby
Lady of the match: Daisy

A fantastic match for the U11A team over at Feltonfleet. The sun was shining and the girls were very determined to win. Hannah was the captain of the match and won the toss, therefore chose to field first. As always the girls fielded with commitment, teamwork and excellent communication. Daisy played brilliantly as 2nd deep with some fantastic big throws back into the diamond for Libby to catch on 2nd post. Hannah was working hard as backstop and Feltonfleet did a number of backwards hits. Her throws to 2nd post were always accurate. Olivia and Lara were a great team as Olivia would receive a ball and the throw to Lara on 1st post to get a number of players out. Lara stumped out 3 players in total, with Olivia catching 2 and Hannah catching 1, making it 6 people to get out in the first innings. When Amesbury were batting they knew they had to beat 5 rounders, to which they did not disappoint. Bo had some smashing hits and managed to score 2 rounders. Libby watched the ball well and scored a round of her first bat. Daisy and Lara also score some half rounders. The girls finished the 1st innings with 6 roundes to Feltonfleets 5.

2nd innings of fielding the girls really tightened it up. They knew their was only 1 rounder in it so all was to play for. Daisy had the catch of the match in 2nd deep where the ball just glided into her hands as she caught it with confidence. Hannah, Olivia also caught players out, with Libby and Lara stumping out left, right and centre on 1st and 2nd post. Naomi worked well as 1st deep, stopping the ball with a long barrier before throwing it into 2nd post. As a team they either caught or stumped out 8 players. Feltonfleet only managed to score 3 rounders making their total 8 for the game. Bo and Olivia both scored a rounder each with Hannah scoring 2 rounders. In total the girls scored 5 rounders making their total 11 rounders. The U11 team continue to play with such flow and accuracy with a hunger to win. A pleasure to umpire. Well done All.
