U11 C vs GHS
Lost 15-21
Batter of the match: Annie
Fielder of the match: Olivia
Lady of the match: Amy

This weeks match was the last match for the term and so it great to see Amesbury trying their hardest. Amesbury began the match batting and got off to a cracking start. The ball was being hit with great force all over the pitch by the girls!! As well as this, they were making some fantastic decisions and managed to score a massive 9 rounders in the first innings. Well done to Annie who battered superbly, scoring 3 rounders throughout the match and giving her full effort while doing so! Although it took a bit longer for the Amesbury to get into the swing of things while fielding, once they did the girl’s did a great job. They all made quick and accurate decisions while under pressure and managed to get several of the opposition players out. Olivia did a great job as backstop, throwing the ball quickly and accurately to her teammates which helped keep GHS’s score down. Also, well done to Amy who stepped in as bowler for the second innings and did a super job at it, making it difficult for the opposition to score. It was great to see all the girl’s playing so well, especially in the second innings where there was a real lift in their performance. Great game girls, well done!!
