It was a beautiful sunny day as the U8A team made their way to Belmont for their game. As the sun shone done our team won the toss and decided to take to the field in the knowledge that they would know what score they were chasing down.
The bowling of everybody in the team was fantastically accurate and wickets fell with regularity, this coupled with some enthusiastic fielding, including an excellent run, restricted the opposing team to a mere 204 runs.
In reply Amesbury got off to an electric start, hitting some great shots to the boundary. Alongside this there was some brilliant running between the wickets and general calling and interaction between the batsmen. As a result, Amesbury easily surpassed the total set for them and scored 239 runs.
