U8C Cricket v Churchers Junior: 4 May
Won
On a blustery afternoon Amesbury’s mighty U8C’s faced Churchers. With a fearless approach to the game a strong attacking field was set with eager anticipation for the first ball. From that point on the fielders were hooked, enjoying their opportunity to do some sport in the ‘sun’. They were quickly rewarded with a run out and the rotation of bowlers allowed the boys to all contribute. The score board although ticking over was contained rather well with some excellent run outs. Churchers closed on 283.
As Amesbury went out to bat it was clear they wanted to attack with some strong shots off the tee and a fast rotation of strike. At times they also got caught out by the run outs but not to the detriment of their enjoyment or the scoreboard. The boys managed to get their total with 2 overs to spare. Great afternoon of sport.
