With the temperature hitting the high twenties the Belmont boys went out with blistering pace hitting fours and a sixes off the first few ball. The Amesbury boys composed themselves well and started to make leeway showing brilliant fielding. Unfortunately three excellent shies at the stumps although direct hits ,the batsman made in back in their crease safety. With Belmont getting a competitive score of 311 Amesbury had their work cut out. As each pair went out it was clear the quality of running between the wicket and choice of shots was good but let down by effective bowling give Belmont five wickets (-25 runs). The score finished 270-5. All did well and the progress made over the term was exhibited well.
