U9B Girls Rounders v Hoebridge

The rain stayed away at Hoebridge on Thursday afternoon. The girls were excited as they travelled by coach there. In the 1st innings, Hoebridge batted first, they set a high score of 6 rounders to beat. Elsie’s bowling was consistently great and Jemima backed up 2nd post and made quick decisions as 1st deep. Amesbury went into bat and played safely, they scored a total of 4 1/2 rounders, great half rounders from Elsie, Amelia, Rebecca and Hattie. A super full rounder by Isabelle C. In the 2nd innings the U9B team fielded tighter, preventing Hoebridge scoring half rounders at 2nd post. Ellie supported 2nd post and covered 3rd post, reading the game well. Alice made quick decisions as 2nd deep and threw accurately to 2nd and 3rd post. In the U9B batting 2nd innings, there performance was fantastic. Great hits and full rounders from Amelia, Hattie, Isabelle C and Alice. As well as lots of half rounders, the second innings was fantastic and a wonderful team performance, well played.
