Amesbury lost the toss against Highfield and were put into bat on a pretty dull afternoon in terms of weather. Noah and Thomas opened the batting and began the Amesbury innings with a solid 17 runs off two overs. Ben came into bat with Edward and the former played some impressive shots to keep the run rate ticking over. George was a standout with the bat as he reached the boundaries a couple of times and was ably assisted by Ailig. Charlie really put the pressure on the opposition bowlers by reaching the boundary with some lovely forward drives. Leo added some crucial runs to bring the Amesbury total to 90 runs off 20 overs.

The Highfield openers came out to bat with Charlie and Leo opening the bowling attack for Amesbury. Others bowled well to keep the opposition batsmen as bay, such as Ailig, Noah and George. In a nail biting finish Thomas started the last over with Highfield needing 18 runs to win. Amesbury won the game by 4 runs. Congratulations to the team.
