It was warm and muggy as the U9D team made their way to Lanesborough for another scintillating game of pairs cricket.

The team was eager to get underway and decided that they would like to bowl first, so that they knew what total they were aiming for. Some tight bowling from the team coupled with some energetic fielding, restricted the opposing team to a mere 273 runs. A total that the team felt they could easily reach given the small size of the pitch.

The first pair got the team away to a fantastic start, hitting boundaries a plenty and running brilliantly between the wicket. The following pairs carried on in the same vein and reached the total set with relative ease, finishing up on a total of 344.

All the team contributed incredibly well to a commanding victory.
