Tchouk Ball Club v Fareham
Won: 27 – 14
Amesbury has been played at Tchouk Ball for 4 years and the Tchouk Ball Club is only small, 7 Year 7s and 2 Year 8s – but wow, I am so proud of them all. In fact, Ollie C is now my assistant coach, there is no more I can teach him…he has recently represented the adult team for Fareham in the league final in Kettering.

It is a minority sport, there aren’t many clubs to play but we are lucky Fareham are prepared to travel up and play us twice a term.  There were three thirds of 10 minutes, the first third was 8-6 to Amesbury, in the second third. It was very close at one point, only one point in it – then Amesbury stretched the lead to 17 – 10. The final third Amesbury stretched it further to take the final score to 27-14.

To be completely honest, the score didn’t matter, the team just played brilliantly and were so supportive and encouraging of each other. There was super front line defence from Toby and Jake. Great second line defence from Cameron and Max and some fantastic shooting from Tom, Ollie B and Ollie C. There was a buzz in the sports hall and big smiles throughout the match.

A big thank you to the 9 players that come to Tchouk Ball Club.

Next match is against the staff on Charity Day. Staff…. we need to get training!!
