On Tuesday 11 February the Monday Morning Tchoukball Club played against the Fareham and Horndean Club.
These Tchoukball matches are always very special occasions. The players that come on a Monday morning are pupils from Year 6, 7 and 8 and are all different abilities. My ‘oldies’ played the first third and won 9-7, there was some excellent shooting and defending. The second third was my newies, there were players that had only been to three morning sessions playing their first match. The third started off slowly and as their confidence grew the pace got quicker. It was so wonderful seeing the pupils play with commitment and seeing the skills they had learned put into a match. The final third was a mixture of the teams, there was lots of encouragement from all the squad and although they lost overall, it was a super match.
