School News

Last week Year 4 enjoyed an action packed Roman Day full of interesting subject knowledge and fun activities.

The children were able to get their hands on real Roman artefacts and understand the way of Roman life. There was even an opportunity for some to dress as a Roman civilian or Roman warrior! They learned how to march, take orders, fight and kill Barbarians like a real Roman!

Year 4 asked some really good questions and gained lots of information to now be used in lessons throughout the rest of the term! They began the day as raw recruits but as the day progressed so did their military skills and by 4:00 pm, Year 4 pupils were ready to take on the Barbarians who inhabited Britain!

Many thanks to all those who helped with the day and staff who gave up their time (especially Performing Arts!).
